personally I think that we need just a little bit more of a 'finishing touch'. Lots of the midfield buildup looks good, plus TFM is playing great IMO

1/ Moving forward I hope we try to buy an out and out fullbacks, someone like Fabinho would be good. Mou team need width provided by fullback and currently Tony V is old while Darmian seems to be too defensive minded when we need someone that can open up opponents who sit back.

2/ Mata and Pogba seems like they have played together for years. I love Mata at 10, very smart movement, deft touches, offensive orientated and willing to make run.

3/ The interchangability of the front 4 is great. Not to harp on Rooney but this was only possible because all 4 players are willing to drag defense, move into space at a very quick tempo that i could not see it happened with Rooney playing because of how much time he hog the ball or lose it nowadays. I think it'll be better once Mkhitaryan/Martial found their form and play over Lingard because they have better end products but so far I'm loving it.

4/ Fellaini is good at breaking play but he's so limited for match like this. Herrera offer much more, he can make dribble, better and sharper passes and is honestly just a more intelligent player.

I don't seriously know why so much negativity. I really enjoyed the first half. The game we're playing really keeps you at the edge of the seat because it's a direct style, non-stopping looking to create chances without complicating things.

The difference between playing Herrera and Fellaini is night and day. Fellaini takes multiple touches only to pass it to the player closest to him. He doesn't even look forward. Herrera usually switches the play very fast, which is especially vital against teams like this because it offers a fast outlet on the wings. Do we need a defensive midfielder against Zorya? They aren't even attacking. They have no midfield threat. Their only attack(s) will come from the wings, that much is clear. Carrick on for Fellaini please.

The movement from the middle to attack is too slow. The wingers aren't doing shit. United have the ball yet the wingers won't drag people with them. TFM and Rojo are one of the biggest issues on the field, Fellaini is there to have some sort of safety net in case of a counter attack so I'm ok with him staying. For the love of god, attack from the wings so the other team doesn't just sit in the middle clogging any attack.

Definitely missing Blind's playmaking from the back and crosses.

There's too much space between Fellaini and Pogba, can't really string passes to move up the midfield, that's why we're relying on long balls. Fellaini has been doing extremely well as an anchor man but in a 2 man midfield it requires more duties than simply staying back as a defensive anchor and getting the ball back.

Pogba now has to rely on just himself most of the time to make the forward passes. I think Pogba and Lingard were connecting well towards the end of the half which made us much more fluid and attacking.

All in all I see positives but if we do not get a goal soon, this might just turn into another Feyenoord situation

I would put in Carrick for Fellaini and Memphis for at least 30 minutes to try and get to the byline. Ibra as 9, Rashford on right wing, Memphis on the left and Lingard helping Carrick recuperate lost balls in the mid and let Pogba play with a bit more freedom in the box to box.

Other teams have similar players who win the ball and lay it off to someone (ie Pogba) to drive it forward. IMO Pogba isn't doing his job.

Pogba cannot do his job when he has a midfield partner like Fellaini. Fellaini has no movement, Pogba is crowded out and cannot drive forward. Maybe if Fellaini had an idea of how to run with the ball and dragged 1 or 2 players towards him and got off a simple pass then Pogba would do his job.

Every good attack has been when Felli hasn't touched the ball. This isn't hating on him as he's been good this season. But he just isn't helping this game. I usually don't agree with Savage but he was right when he said Fellaini needs to play 1touch and not take 3-4 touches followed by a sideways pass. I miss Herrera.

Not good enough so far, we need more one touch passing, IMO we started to do it near the end so hopefully more of that will follow.

Mata and Pogba have looked brilliant, Fella has won the ball back well and been an aerial threat but he is pushing on too much and he needs to spend less time picking a pass.

Be nice to see Tony Marshall and Memphis get a few minutes if things aren't going well near the end, I'd probably see Lingard off since Rashford can be a game winner at any moment more so than Jesse, not bad though and we can at least string passes together and hold possession unlike our previous EL match.

I'd say Fellaini should be off at half time for Carrick. He's having a shocker - it really seems he can only head the ball when facing opposition goal kicks. Shite at heading crosses and corners.

Pogba playing well, get Carrick behind him for some vertical passing.

All that said, if it keeps going as it it we should get the win.
