Hi there, I'm a person heavily involved in the Polish diaspora. A lot of people I know wouldn't mind voting for him if he clarified his position on NATO - but if he continues to praise Putin and talk about how NATO is obsolete I just can't.

The reference to NATO being obsolete is in its relation to the threats of today. The threat of today is terrorism and large invasions are unlikely with a global economy. Russian can't afford to have its markets cut because it relies on fossil fuel sales, like natural gas to Eastern Europe and petroleum abroad.
Also, nothing wrong with asking someone to pay their bills if they are in a country receiving the benefits of NATO. We've been defending Eastern Europe for decades, but our own border is a joke.

Poland has nothing to fear, I think your government will get along just fine with Trump.
Russia would never dare touch Poland.
His position on NATO is that members should pay what they owe, simple as that. Also that NATO should do more about terrorism.

Respecting someone and trying to avoid unnecessary confrontation is not praising them.
NATO takes advantage of the US and other countries aren't living up to their ends of the bargain. He calls them out on it, and deservedly so.

Well, in America, we worry about America first. Sounds like these people, that are enjoying our country, have a Poland first attitude.

I am American. I love this country very much, however I also love Poland - where my parents were born and where all my family lives. I don't want Russian tanks rolling into Poland - do you know what the Russians did to Poland?
Also, American interests intersect with Polish interests but American interests will always be contrary to Russian interests since Russia is a pariah and a global terror state.
For the same reason Israel is important to Jews, Poland is important to me. I don't like you throwing out a dual loyalty canard.

You do realize that todays russia is not the same as the USSR that dominated poland back in the day. Putin is not a boogey man to be feared. Also how is Russia a global terror state? Just wondering how you come to that conclusion.
