I know it's his own fault and all that, but I kinda feel sorry for him, he seemed so happy to be there!

Which makes it all the more ridiculous for me, why fuck up your dream job for a fraction of what you make in a year? I get that £400,000 is a lot of dosh but the brazen balls the man has is incredible.

I'm probably going to get slaughtered for this but I'd go with Van Gaal. We've got a lot of young players who seem to really take to Van Gaals methods in comparison to the older generation and we play boring football anyway so England fans won't really have to adapt to watch it.

Look at the players we've got. They would be pretty decent in a Van Gaal system. Really good full backs, Stones is good on the ball and Smalling looked brilliant for LVG. Kane is an ideal striker for Van Gaals system as he's pretty clinical (not always but 2 20+ goal seasons at the age of 23 is pretty good if you ask me). Then you've got the likes of Sterling/Rashford/Chamberlain who are all pretty used to a possession system.

Butland, Shaw, Clyne, Smalling, Stones, Dier, Wilshere, Alli, Kane, Sterling, Rashford, Chamberlain are all still fairly young and I think can really learn his methods.

Would be better than Gareth Southgate.

I found the whole ordeal pretty fun. Big sham up to his shenanigans. You can't fault his 100% record though, looks like Lallana will go down in folklore

I dont care about the 400k as much as I care about him discussing all the shady things he does to get around rules. Specifically the even more shady world of third party ownership. Classless to teach others how to do this, much less allow it

People see an opinion that is against the norm and down vote it to the abyss because they don't like it... Funny thing is... They almost never give you a reason or contribute to the discussion.

Unfortunately it seems that, that's the way reddit works.

Feel a bit sorry for him, but it was entirely his own fault. You really could tell how much the job meant to him so its a shame that its ended this way. However, for a man with so much apparent experience he showed a remarkable amount of naivety!
