I bought this in June from the first Canadian owner who imported it straight from Japan last year. He moved on to a Toyota Crown Estate and didn't have room for two wagons in his garage.
We got it for my wife as her daily driver (and for me to drive on weekends) and are now selling because she simply cannot get used to RHD and wants to go back to a 5-speed. I wish we could keep it. It is a dream car for me, and is in unbelievable condition. It will be her daily driver until it is sold.
This is the famous H23A "Blue Top" DOHC VTEC engine desired by tuners for its torquier powerband and bulletproof iron block. I can put you in touch with the original owner who can tell you more about it.
Here's a list:
-very rare and desirable SiR wagon
-complete engine overhaul including timing belt done at 68K when it was brought over
-all rubber seals replaced; engine is perfect
-all belts and fluids changed
-inspected just before it left Japan (Japanese cars must be fully inspected and repaired every two years or you can't drive it) - window sticker to prove it
-new battery
-new AC compressor--blows ice cold, climate control to hold it at temperature
-new spark plugs and wires
-recent Pirelli P7 tires
-only synthetic oil used
-front and rear brakes done
-alignment done
-always premium fuel (doesn't require it but the owner was fastidious)
-dual exhaust
This car is fast as hell. Or not, if you like. It's whatever you want it to be. If you haven't driven a JDM VTEC (not the inferior muzzled USDM versions), it's exhilarating. Very powerful, fast and agile when you need it to be, but also sedate and smooth for cruising.
Leather/fabric seats (best option), all factory everything. NO MODS have been done to this car. It was a show car, never raced or lowered. Brought over, babied, and sold to me.
Other features:
-power everything including folding mirrors
-S-matic tiptronic automatic or manual mode transmission
-keyless entry
-Bose sound system with 6-disc CD changer and subwoofer
NOT A SPECK of rust, clean as a whistle underneath. Flawless black metallic paint has been protected from new. Factory HID super bright lights. Huge trunk, seats fold flat.
Most other JDM wagons by Subaru, Nissan and Toyota (if you can find a good one that hasn't been raced, abused, lowered, modded, etc.) are $7000+ and won't be anywhere near as nice shape. Not looking to trade.
