For those who have raised dogs, it seems obvious. If you socially isolate your puppy from other dogs, when they grow up they will still want to mate, but will see other dogs as outsiders, enemies. So why should human children be any different?
We live in a society, a culture, where families are small, and children are gender segregated almost until they are adults. Most people assume that children are socialized with the other gender "in school or in church". But the truth is that adults keep children far too busy to socialize. And in school, when they are still young, they hop from class to class, each with different students.
Then, at about 17 or 18 years, suddenly the children are expected to find someone of the other gender, date them, then eventually marry one of them, produce children "and live happily ever after".
Seriously? Not going to happen.
Currently, there is no extensive, anti-gender segregating, chaperoned circumstance where children can interact for years just to learn about the other gender, that isn't clogged with so many other distractions that interaction is inhibited.
Isn't it any wonder that our adult society is dysfunctional, either unable to relate to the other gender; hating and distrusting the other gender, seeing them as "the enemy"; or surrendering and just avoiding the other gender for the rest of their lives?
This is a true cultural crisis. If we ignore it our society will collapse.
When single parents try to raise children, their offspring are 60% more likely to criminally offend than children raised in two parent families. Children of single parent families are raised in a "survival" mode instead of a "success" mode. And our prisons are full of criminals who were raised in single parent families.
We must act, and act soon. We have already lost generations.
