There has obviously been a lot of talk recently about who should play as Pogba's partner, or which 2 should.

With Carrick being the most popular starter for that role currently, each player still faces criticism.

For Carrick, it's sometimes his lack of pace that can worry some, and obviously how long he can keep going for being 35.

For Blind, the fear for some is that he shines in the LB/CB role because he can play his best football there, and switching him to CM would actually stifle his abilities due to lack of pace etc.

For Fellaini as a partner, the criticism comes from not offering enough in terms of 'midfield play', and not generating enough general chances, despite being a great defensive cover.

I think Herrera's criticism comes also from defensive cover and whether he has the physical attributes to play that role.

Schneiderlin is a tricky one but the criticism seems to generally come from giving away free kicks, or simply 'not seeing enough' of him when playing.

My question to you guys is, are these candidates suitable for us all season? Or do we need another player who's natural position is holding?

If Carrick/Herrera were to be injured halfway through the season, do you see us having enough back-up in that position? And who would you play?
