I'll be honest I was super bummed there wasn't an ACTUAL the_donald thread dedicated to the debate so we could all talk during it. The live chat was great, but I would rather read and type than listen to the debate and to the folks making comments. Can we get a thread in the next debate?

The post by Donald himself currently sitting at the top of this sub with 20,000 comments WAS the debate thread. Sorry you missed it, fellow centipede. Mods should have clarified.

Reddit's interface is completely bad for live events. No one wants to post their thoughts in a megathread and have it go unheard and automatically buried because of the post limit, but mods also don't want hundreds of "DAE" posts every minute, so in the end you're left with a situation where the only place to discuss something as it happens is /pol/ or a stream chat.

I was surprised there wasn't an actual thread, I don't see why we couldn't have both, but I definitely prefer to read while listening to the debate rather than listen to two things at once.

I couldn't get the stupid app installed and working. No clue where I had to be or what to do. There should have been advanced notice to create logins for that thing. It took like 10 minutes just to install verify and get it running.
