This was literally asked yesterday

Short answer, man utd is a business traded on the stock exchange, the club feel it's not a good business decision, that's all it is

I've not come across any reason for not having a women's team.

Try thinking of a reason why we should have one, then when you can't: look into how much money women's teams lose every year, (even the best ones) and you'll get close to the answer of why we don't.

Thanks for the replies, and sorry for being lazy and not doing a search.

Fair enough, it wouldn't be a good business decision, and United is first and foremost a business.

I guess I just think it's a shame that the club could potentially help the women's game take great steps forward but it chooses not to for financial reasons.

You said it.

United is first and foremost a business

The women's game is nowhere near being profitable or attracting serious audiences. How long do you pour money down a black hole?

City are trying to catch up and become a big name, they need all the goodwill they can get. We're already the biggest name in the country and arguably the world. As soon as the women's game is worth investing in, we will, but I don't blame our owners not pouring millions into it for goodwill reasons.

We don't need a womens team to offset our losses against like Chelsea and City

Because it doesn't make the Glazers a profit

It doesn't make profit because it's rubbish.
