I was an 80s arcade goer .. what about guitar and music? Fairly low overhead hobbies ..

Lifelong professional musician here... 10/10 would do again.

It's not easy and it's certainly not cheap. Most people who attempt to play give up... but it's very satisfying if you can hack it.

Take up a musical instrument. Take done form of martial arts; I prefer fencing, myself.

Ever tried art?

Before recently, my last go at it was back in High School when it was mandatory. Never really had much of an interest in it growing up.

Been mucking around with acrylic paints, pencil sketchings, an off brand digital tablet with photoshop just seeing what I'm capable of and what I like doing most. I am far from decent but I am getting better.

Kind of cathartic too if you need that sort of thing. Which I think everyone does.

I think I'm going to dedicate one day a fortnight to painting with my new found spirit guide Bob Ross via Netflix in between a few bong hits.

As a gamer like myself you've probably got other interests like comics, sci fi, and other visually interesting stuff you can get inspiration and ideas from.

I'm getting back into my childhood interests of model building, RC aircraft at the moment (jets, drones, rockets, etc). Looking into picking up a full sized electronic piano soon too as I've always wanted to learn that. I still lift often and keep in shape. Did Japanese Jujutsu for around 7 years, which is fantastic fun and psychologically strengthening. Would like to get back into that. Photography is extremely satisfying and interesting. Can get quite expensive when you get into the higher end gear. Just a few things that come to mind for me anyway.
