Uncompromised performance

The 850 EVO optimizes performance for your daily computing tasks, boasting sequential write speeds up to 520 MB/s with TurboWrite technology and sequential read speeds up to 540 MB/s. Plus, RAPID mode further boosts performance for up to 2x faster* data processing speeds on a system level by utilizing unused PC memory as cache storage. * These results were determined by PCMARK®7 testing with scores of 7,519 and 19,506 with RAPID mode off and on using a 2.5-inch 500 GB drive.

Guaranteed endurance and reliability

The Samsung 850 EVO maintains high performance and enhanced endurance, and provides a limited warranty of 5 years or 75 to 300 terabytes written (TBW)*. For security, the 850 EVO is equipped with an AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption engine which does not cause any performance degradation and is compliant with advanced security management solutions, such as IEEE® 1667 and TCG™ Opal. Plus, Dynamic Thermal Guard protects it from overheating. * 5 years or TBW (250 GB: 75 TBW; 500 GB/1 TB: 150 TBW; 2/4 TB: 300 TBW), whichever comes first.
