Possible Talking Points
Pogba, Herrera and Mata as a midfield seemed to work well, especially with the physicality of Bailly and Smalling to cover for them. With Carrick as an option to anchor the midfield in matches where that is necessary, it seems this could be a good line-up moving forwards (obviously early days yet)
We scored directly off a corner finally! Twice!
The football was excellent to watch - much faster, one touch pass and move that led to Leicester's defence line being completely out of shape when the ball did make its way over to the wings
Defensively they looked stronger but still seemed vulnerable to the pull-back on the cross. It is remarkable how many times in a game there will be nobody on the edge of the area picking up the advancing midfielders
Where do we go from here? How do we get Shaw and Mkhitaryan into this team whilst still keeping the balance?
