The fact that TRP sub exists, the fact that men go "MGTOW" and the fact that lack of love drives people to what seems insanity on those incel threads prove that being a man is absolute horror in terms of dating. Girls, you might get fun out of it, but you have no idea how hard it is for a lot of men to go for girls.

There's something those guys get right tho:

Girls talk about toxic masculinity and how society sees un-manly when a guy shares his emotions, yet most women like douche muscular bros.

And no, don't copy paste this post and try to humilliate me on NiceGuys or whatever because I do have a partner, but that does not change the fact that girls are hypocrites when talking about men.

So? Being human is hard in its own ways. Being poor is hard. Being a minority is hard. Having a disability is hard. Being a man is not harder than any of those things. TRP is just an extreme overreaction to getting rejected, and the guys on that sub are the furthest thing from mature.

And toxic masculinity is still real, and guys who don't conform to traditional gender roles can still find people who are into them fairly easily. Most guys end up being fine from everything I have seen.

For real though, this does read like an r/niceguys rant.

If you think dating for women is easy, glance at a magazine or a website aimed at women, once in awhile.

If this is supposed to be some kind of universal truth, why is it, exactly, that the characters in media who're supposed to be appealing to young women are not actually "douche muscular bros"? There seems to be this weird male narrative that women are settling for "betas" when they'd really like some big asshole alpha. But all the fictional ideal guys that young women are swooning over? Not assholes. If they're written to appeal to a female audience, they are, if anything, frequently inclined to be almost pathologically considerate of the happiness of the women in their lives.

Yeah, when I was younger, I dated a lot of assholes, and I dated all of them trying to find someone who wasn't one. I'm not really big into the whole muscular thing, but sure, I find a lot of muscular guys hot--and if I'm going to fantasize about Ricky Whittle, I'm going to fantasize about the guy who looks like Ricky Whittle and also talks to his cat like Ricky Whittle.

Substitute treatment of dogs, children, or wait staff as desired--"decent human" ranks way higher in the list of dating criteria than anything looks-related.

I would not be so quick to define the behavior of others as "insanity". There is a time an place for every life phase.
