I just had a conversation with a quote on quote "strong feminist"
She started talking about her marriage. I said that I don't see the point in getting marriage if it doesn't benefit me. Naturally, she said "You just haven't found the right one." Do people believe some outside force just forces two people to mate for life? What kind of nonsense is that?
I got into the heart of the matter "Are you happy with your marriage."
"Well, I actually think I'm poly."
She said it as if it was the same as coming out of the closet. Like it was who she was and not a choice she makes.
"You think?"
"I'm a feminist, and I think every couple should be poly. It's only fair. Not sure if my husband will like that too much."
"You got someone in mind?"
"Yeah, but he isn't mature enough to admit he likes and wants to be with me?"
I think I've just heard a whole new level of stupid. Did she really just try to shame a guy for not wanting a MARRIED woman?
"Well, do you love your husband?"
"Yes, I love both of them."
"I rest my case."
