Bebe puts seal on Eibar win over 10-man Real Sociedad

Bebe scored a spectacular half-volley as Eibar beat 10-man local rivals Real Sociedad 2-0 in LaLiga.
The former Manchester United forward slammed home from 25 yards in the 66th minute at Ipurua Municipal Stadium after Asier Illarramendi's own goal had put the hosts ahead nine minutes earlier.
After an uneventful opening, Sociedad's game plan was undone with 24 minutes played when defender Aritz Elustondo handled Bebe's goalbound header and was shown a straight red card by referee Jose Sanchez.
Pedro Leon, who scored three times in the opening five games of the season, stepped up to take the resultant penalty but skied woefully over Geronimo Rulli's crossbar.
Eibar controlled the first half, although they rarely threatened a breakthrough.
Indeed, neither side had managed a shot on target when the unfortunate Illarramendi turned the ball into his own net at the near post after attempting to block Gonzalo Escalante's cross from the right.
Bebe, a summer signing from Portuguese champions Benfica, quickly doubled the advantage, firing into the bottom right corner to claim his first goal for his new club.
Sociedad never looked likely to find a way back into the match and they were fortunate not to concede further.
Argentinian midfielder Escalante fired narrowly wide of the right post from inside the penalty area eight minutes from time before Leon shot past the left upright.
Substitute Nano could have added a third in time added on but he shot straight at Rulli when well placed as the home side comfortably recorded a third win of the season.
