He's said that Rooney should not play every game. When neville was 35 he had played 600 games while Rooney has 800 at 30. It's about time hearing a pundit talking about Rooney managing the last few years of his career in a smart way and not just blindly asking him to play every game.

Again, I am not sticking up for Rooney, just look at my previous posts, I am delighted he was dropped.

This reaction is just as bad as the people claiming he should continue starting after we lost to feyenoord. Or when he was benched and we lost to stoke last season then people wanted him back in the XI immediately.

Can we at least see how the next few games go before posts like this arise? Also you people need to understand that he isn't the one selecting himself to play

I was talking more about the sub in general than neville. E.g if Pogba is bad next game, people will go back to slating mou for playing him in a midfield 2. Despite his best game for us (this game) being in a midfield 2.

We need to wait longer before drawing conclusions.

I support Utd. Not the players. There's a difference. If a player is underperforming I want him dropped for the good of the team. Not to persist and persist in the hope he plays his way back in to form at the expense of team performance.
