Three men were arrested in the Chantilly area of Loudoun County in August and September after attempting to "engage in sexual acts with children all under the age of 15," according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The three suspects initially made contact with the minors through the internet.
Anrug Sharma, 34, of Fairfax, was arrested on Aug. 31 on one count of Use of Communication Systems to solicit a minor. He was released on a $25,000 bond.
Kenneth Matthew Maleski, 29, of Laurel, MD, was arrested on Sept. 6 on one count of Use of Communication Systems to solicit a minor and one count of Attempted Indecent Liberties with a minor. He was released on a $25,000 bond.
Joseph Michael Confoy, 52, of Ashburn, was arrested on Sept. 15 on one count of Use of Communication Systems to solicit a minor and one count of Attempted Indecent Libertes with a minor. He was released on a $15,000 bond.
The arrests were part of ongoing investigations coordinated between the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and the Northern Virginia-DC Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
