We're at EGX as you know. We currently talked to someone from a game called Insane Robots and the developers from VooFoo Studios for Mantis Burn Racing. I also over overheard the VooFoo developers talking about Xbox One and PlayStation 4 cross-play. He said they got it working and they actually had to make it not work. When asked about this they said "Let's just say we had to write code to make cross-play between platforms not work."
It seems that Sony's refusal to allow cross-play is hurting developers. This is the first we've heard of this and hopefully Sony will allow the feature like Microsoft so that developers don't suffer. It's definitely an interesting comment from the developers.
