Scott Aukerman, the director and producer of the online comedy show "Between Two Ferns," hosted by Zach Galifianakis, says Donald TrumpDonald TrumpJudge rejects media effort to unseal Trump's divorce records Secret Service paid Trump's airline .6 million Trump questions how much Clinton has helped women, children MORE is too thin-skinned to appear on the program.
The latest installment of the show, released Thursday, has Galifianakis interviewing Democratic nominee Hillary ClintonHillary Rodham ClintonClintons buy a second home in Chappaqua Secret Service paid Trump's airline .6 million Trump questions how much Clinton has helped women, children MORE with a series of awkward and embarrassing questions. The interview was recorded on Sept. 9, the same day that Clinton said she was diagnosed with pneumonia.
President Obama also appeared on the program in 2014, using the show as a platform to pitch ObamaCare.
Aukerman says he isn't ruling out the possibility that Trump will contact the producers, but is sure the GOP nominee would not sit down for an improvised interview.
"I wouldn’t be surprised if his team reached out, but I’d be surprised if it ever were to happen in the same way this happened, with us being able to improvise questions," he added.
The show itself is not widely advertised, meaning that if Trump did agree to get interviewed by Galifianakis, his appearance on the show will not be known until after its next release.
"We hadn’t done one in a couple years so we don’t overdo them, so every time we do one, it’s a surprise," said Aukerman. "We don’t put out press releases that we're about to put one out, we sneak them out in the middle of the night."
