This is a very original 1964 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk R1. Very rare car: only 169 made with the R1 engine option. A true survivor car, and always in the Bay Area. It is an R1 Gran Turismo Hawk which means it came from the factory with the Jet Thrust R1 289 V8 Avanti engine. Other R1 options include a 160 speedometer, a tachometer, a floor shift automatic transmission and special R1 badges along the front fenders and grille. It runs and drives beautiful with no mechanical issues. It has dual exhaust and a four barrel carburetor. Freshly re-cored radiator.

The original Strato Blue paint is still on the car. The paint is decent, but the hood and right front fender paint is worn more than the rest of the car. It has 75,000 original miles. I have the original production order which shows the correct body number and the matching engine number. Lots of receipts, and literature dating from 1964. Registered through April 2017. Clear title in my name.

I am the third owner. I bought it in 2004 and have always kept it garaged. The previous owner bought it in 1971 and he always kept it garaged. I have both of the sales slips from 1964 and 1971.
