I couldn't watch tonight but the comments (especially in the half-time thread) about him were quite negative. How bad was he and could it be because he hasn't made any minutes at all? What do you think is the best thing for him? Back to the u23's for a while or not.

He played just fine, one small lapse of concentration.

He also hit the bar with a rocket header earlier on.

Yea, i agree.

he lacked sharpness here and there (which contributed to the penalty and goal) but that's what you'd expect from a player that's starved of opportunity (both with the senior team and elsewhere)

The penalty was strickly do to rojos inability to head a ball correctly and then everyone else panicking to clear the ball. I put the blame 100% on Rojo.

rojo's header was a terrible error in a dangerous part of the pitch but TFM should have done a lot more to deal with the mistake

take a look at TFM's attempt to clear the ball. he was way too lackadaisical and lacked the awareness to feel out the danger in his own box. you can never afford to lose a second ball in your own box

Wasn't as sharp as we seen him last year. I think Mourinho will still play him in the senior squad occasionally. Only way he would be in the starting XI is if he obviously plays better than this.

In the times he was ball watching he looked exhausted, probably just not match fit.
