Alfa Romeo GTV6 ITS race or track day car reluctantly for sale.
Car is a non-sunroof, rust free and never hit body. Bilstein rear and Koni front shocks, Shankle SS bars, Rugh springs rear, heim joints in watts link and sway bar ends, rebuilt front and rear suspension w/ OEM Lemforder parts, new fuel cell foam and lines/filter/pump, surge tank and hard lines. Oil cooler. Custom Ron Davis alloy radiator and pusher fan and throttle activated fan switch for pit in. Headlights, wipers, brake lights are functional. Custom vacuum-formed dash, SW gauges and GTV6 modified tachometer. Custom MC and dual reservoirs. Custom headers and exhaust, nearly new. Very loud. Stripped doors. Don't have the new "wet" weight currently but it's probably over weight by a bit so if new owner wanted to do some corner balancing that would be an option.
Extensive prep by Nasko and Denny Pillar on the west coast. VERY fast. Engine is incredible...are you racing within the rules? If yes I can't say more. If no, we can talk further on that. Brembo front calipers, custom rear brake plumbing feeds Spider calipers (no hand brake). Extensive duct work for cooling (former owner had close relationship with custom HVAC fabricator and it's awesome).
Close ratio transaxle, locked diff. 15x7 Stilauto wheels with 225 BFG R compound and spare wheels/tires. New clutch. New synchros in trans, shifts very well and no crunchy gear changes. Rebuilt and improved shifter linkage - it is nice and direct as far as those things go.
Has log book and unbelievable number of receipts, as well as a title if you need it.
What does it need? Very little for a race car. I would suggest the following. It probably needs rear wheel bearings if you're going to endurance race it, plus the things any race car needs before turning a wheel at track each year: tires and fluid changes, and re-align (I can do this for the new owner to recommended spec based on tracks run). I also will supply a thermostat which you will probably want to install if you run at cool tracks, it is currently out. I purchased this car years ago as a non-runner with extensive needs and put a tremendous amount of work into it, yet have not used it as much as I thought I would, hence the sale at a loss.
ENGINE DETAILS AVAILABLE VIA EMAIL. The engine alone cost more than the asking price but such is the norm when selling used race cars! It is very powerful and pulls harder than an E36 M3 in a straight line by a considerable margin. Extensive spares package available (2.5 and 3.0 engine, race prep transaxles, clutches, clutch parts, and housings, driveshaft, race seat, belts, etc. etc.).
Sale price includes a custom trailer and a pair of old ramps. Trailer has new tires, bearings, lights. pulls straight and true. Very low deck height. Plated/registered. Used the trailer for pulling other cars and it pulls very well. Car and trailer located in SE Michigan.
The car is wicked. This is NOT a pretty show car, it is a real race car that does real racing and is very fast (it would also be a fantastic track day car). That said it won its class (race car) at the Italian Happening car show over others including GTAs...so it's a crowd pleaser.
I recently drove the car at Grattan raceway and it was a thrill to drive. I installed a Sparco race seat with new side mounts and a slider, and that comes with the car. Also pictured is the car loaded on the custom trailer. Note the low deck height.
The new owner will be very happy and end up with a very fast GTV6. Contact Rob with questions.
