Two weeks ago I was driving past a known area for speed traps in Baltimore County MD near the Port. As suspected, two police cars were set up with radar guns. As I drove by I made eye contact with one of the officers. At the time I was holding my phone in my hand but not texting. He pulls me over and gives me a $70 ticket for holding my phone. My question, is it legal to get pulled over for holding your phone in your hand. There was no other violation. I was not speeding, no "broken tail light" etc.
