Interesting comment somebody made:

"They mention Rooney heavily in the article, that's almost a guarantee it isn't Rooney.

They will heavily suggest that it's Rooney to create a story, whereas in reality it's somebody who cuts the grass or works in catering".

how are people blaming rooney for this. it pretty much confirms how hysterical the fans and media are being at the moment. he's the captain, and making shit loads of money, but under an insane amount of fire from the public.. on what planet would he think leaking something about jose would be good for his career?! probably the most laughable rumour ive heard all year

Paranoid fans sitting around circle jerking their tin foil conspiracies and have pedaled for a long time now that Rooney somehow owns the media or can influence the media. It is nothing more than another attention seeking English journo writing a live bait piece knowing the toxic environments that the fans writhe around in and how to play it to their advantage. More than likely there is no leak at all.

People are blaming Rooney partly because Gary Neville tweeted out the article to his followers and implied that it was a leak coming from inside and Rooney has connections to Gary Neville.

Every single player that at one point played for England would have a connection to Neville

Rooney did 9/11. Anything that's bad in Man Utd, it'll be him. /s

You're right, on our part, it's conjecture. However, the way Neville mentioned it, gives it credence, in my opinion.

I believe it's Rooney trying to shift the blame from him to Mourinho. Since the Watford match, there has been countless press about Rooney being dropped from United, and some have mentioned him being dropped from the England squad.

Ducker mentions that Rooney is scared of being dropped. How would Ducker know how Rooney is feeling, if he has not been in contact with him?

It's just a huge assumption to make. You are talking about Rooney being scared to be dropped, which player wouldn't be after playing like shite?

You don't know anything for a fact and the guy has written an article to get attention. So far he has half this sub in his fishing net

Wayne Rooney has always been a vocal voice in the dressing room but the United captain is understood to feel under immense pressure after a disappointing start to the season and is worried about his place in the team against Leicester after a dismal showing at Watford, when he came in for severe criticism on social media from fans.

This is straight up Ducker mentioning how Rooney feels. If it was a generic statement like "Due to his recent performances, Rooney may not see action against Watford.", then fine. However, Ducker is alluding to knowing how Rooney is feeling. Unless Rooney is walking around Carrington telling everyone he is scared of being dropped, Ducker and Rooney have been in contact.

Rooney has been un-droppable, since SAF retired. I believe Rooney was told he's not playing against Leicester, and he has gone on the offensive.

If this whole leak is true, perhaps the mole is just making a point about how hard Mourinho has been on the lads by mentioning the Rooney situation as an example.

I believe Rooney was told he's not playing against Leicester, and he has gone on the offensive.

This will show more value after the weekend won't it?

This leak could have come from anyone. Imagine for a second, Martial asks Youngy, "was Fergie like this?"

There's your story

These leaks have been happening for a while now. There were leaks during Moyes's time here, LvG's time here, and, now, Mourinho's time here. It's definitely a senior member of the squad.

[–]TudoorsScholes 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

definitely

Nothing, absolutely nothing is definite. It could be a different person each time.

You think it's Rooney because he's covering his ass by shifting the attention to Mourinho and not to him. Rooney's been hounded by the media, a ton at the beginning of last season, and every single international tournament since 2010. It could really be anyone.

It does not take a lot to leak this kind of information, journalists are always, constantly looking for a story. They could have taken this from Sam Johnstone for all we know.

What tier is Ducker? I thought he was low, and therefore, his article could be 10% "fact" and 90% bull ca ca.
