Honestly, I don't want Mourinho to go anywhere.

Realistically, if the players do quit on him, he will be sacked. It's a numbers game. It's easier to replace one manager than it is to replace X amount of players.

Personally, if that happens, I would be disgusted.

Woodward should tell the players Mourinho is not going anywhere. If you don't want to be here, I can show you the door.

If we sack Jose it's going to begin an endless cycle of sack and replace. We've have mediocrity under Moyes and Van Gaal, give Jose time to get it right. If Jose ends up sacked by the end of the season I may genuinely lose all love for the club because I refuse to watch a starting 11 of spineless pussies getting overpaid to purposefully underperform. Spend my hard earned money in a pub watching/going to the games? Fuck that

Exactly. Let's even assume we sack Jose, then what? We appoint a new manager, players think he is being too hard, then, what, we sack him, too?

Do we just hire and sack managers until there is one who shines the boots of players, kisses the ground they walk on, tells them how great their performances are, and does their washing up? Yeah, right.

Repeat till players have also left basically. Any bad spell and it'll happen as long as they're still around.

Have to totally agree, what's the point in watching football if they're all a bunch of moaning cunts playing shit on purpose

IF this is a leak by senior players who have a big dressing room influence, they should immediately be dropped and never seen again

Worst thing we did was letting Rio and Evra go

[–]rpt23Football, bloody hell!

Can someone please tell me what was the leak. I just got off from work and missed any post that may have been regarding the leak.

According to Ducker, Mourinho is being really hard on the squad, and he is way harder on them than Sir Alex Ferguson ever was.

Honestly disgusted with the players if the leak is accurate. Can't even handle a critical statement after three defeats on the bounce. Try doing a 9-5 putting in shit performances everyday and see how long you last before getting rinsed out or fired.

If it´s Rooney, I don´t want to see him in Manchester United shirt again. This is now the third manager that has had a leek coming from the dressing room.

Rooney should man up and take some fucking responsibility

I would be extremely surprised, if this was anyone other than Rooney. It has to be someone who has knowledge of SAF's inner workings and is able to juxtapose those with Mourinho's.

After the press he has received this week, this is Rooney trying to get the supporters on his side, unite against the manager, and get him ousted.

Realistically it can only be like what 4 or 5 players. Rooney, Carrick, Jones, Smalling, Valencia, Young....can't think of anybody else.

DDG could be on that list, too, but he is an unlikely suspect.

I think Ducker has Rooney or Carrick. My money is on Rooney. It's weird how the article mentions Rooney is afraid of being dropped. How would Ducker know that? Rooney is talking.

Ah Rooney, the perennial scapegoat for anything and everything that goes wrong. What if De Gea was the leak? Don't want to see him in a United shirt again?

There is Rooney, De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Young, Valencia, Carrick, Mata and Fellaini.

Then the ones who liked LVG, Blind, Martial, Lingard, Rashford (maybe), Mata again.

Listen, I know all the craze is around hating Rooney, but if he's still starting in these games, then I don't know if it's really him.

There's far more options than just Rooney.

You can knock out those who liked LVG seeing as they never played under Fergie.

They didn't need to play under Fergie to be leakers...

Did you even read what was said?

In the article, it says that his criticism is nastier and more personal than Fergie's, none of those players you mentioned who you say liked LVG played under Fergie so why would they make that comment?

Rooney is still by far the most likely option though. He has the media connections through his agent and he's got a reason to want the blame put on Mourinho.

Christ no. Why would anyone turn on a manger who is playing him even when he's playing poorly? Mourinho is giving Rooney the benefit of the doubt by maintaining his confidence in him.

To divert criticism away from themselves, not difficult to understand.

To divert criticism away from themselves, not difficult to understand.

I understand that, but this is more than just a diversion tactic. Sure, to this sub it's a big issue, but Rooney who's been criticized by the media since 2011, has definitely learned to block some of it out.

Whoever it is, by all means they need to go, but this whole issue is much more than just Rooney. For all we know the leak could have come from someone else who thinks they deserve more just to make a story.

How can you say "if it's Rooney"? It quite clearly is. Him and Stretfords grubby hands all over that leak.

Why do you think it's rooney?

Who would know about criticism and the media, from a fergie point of view? Who has played under Fergie and is still there now? Who's mentioned the most in the article? Who's feeling "under pressure" according to the article? Who's feeling as if their "position is under threat" according to the article? All of that = Rooney.

Based on the other thread, it's most likely someone who also played under SAF, which eliminates the majority of the players, and he's very well-connected with the media (and has previously caused trouble through the media). Out of all the players who's also played for SAF, Rooney seems like the only one who'd have reason to leak this (considering how the media and the fans have been questioning him lately).
Finally, something I haven't seen highlighted elsewhere is the fact that Neville pretty much just confirmed the leak is real, and Rooney obviously have a close relationship with him.. based on all these things, everything is pretty much pointing towards Rooney..

We may no longer be in the honeymoon phase, but we're sure as shit still in the arse licking phase of Mourinho's management. Whenever a new manager, a new player comes to United, it takes us 3 months to call a spade a spade. Maybe Mourinho is actually in the wrong here, ever consider that?

What leak? Everyone is talking about it and most of us don't know what the f is the leak thing they you lots are talking about! Jesus Christ

Read the article by James Ducker. It's at the top of the front page ffs.

I agree, this is really bad. Did it occur to anyone that maybe CO92 is behind this? Why would Neville publicly confirm that it's an inside leak? There's no need for that whatsoever.

The 92nd batch of carbon monoxide that Mourinho carries around with him. That's why all the newspapers label him as 'toxic'.

Seriously though, class of '92

Class of '92. Sorry, am trying to take as little time typing so I can read everything posted on the subject.

So when Moyes was in charge, everything was his fault. When LvG was here, everything was his fault. Now that Mourinho's here, everything is the players' fault(s). Seriously, some of you on here need another hobby or something

[–]TrebolationsJose Mourinho 3

This is a leak very early in the season. Neither Moyes or LVG had to go through with this shit so soon.

To be fair, I also don't remember Moyes or LVG throwing players under the bus like Mourinho did (and has been doing) since the City defeat. The leak is inexcusable, but so was his post-match interview(s), especially considering United played a really good game..

How is that relevant to anything that I said? You think there wasn't a single player early on under those managers who was unhappy?

There almost certainly was but at least they kept it to themselves instead of starting a public shitstorm for personal gain like what's happened tonight.

Who has anything to gain from leaking this?

Any player who doesn't like Mourinho and wants him discredited, any player who wants criticism diverted away from them (i.e Rooney), it's not hard to think of potential reasons. Obviously someone gains from the leak or they wouldn't have leaked it.

Lol I realize that this doesn't fit in with the overdramatic reactionary nature of this sub, but all it is is a newspaper trying to sell a story. There were stories like this under Moyes and van Gaal as well and they only got sacked much, much later than when the story 'broke'. It's really easy to fabricate this about Mourinho given his two most recent stints as manager, how about we be a bit sensible about it and not take everything that's written in newspapers as gospel?

Reads exactly like a leak normally would and was written by a reputable journalist working for a reputable paper. Far more likely it's legitimate than not.

[–]TrebolationsJose Mourinho 0

How many of them leaked their dissatisfaction after 6 games under LVG and Moyes?

Again, that's irrelevant. If the player chose to leak his dissatisfaction 2 years into Mourinho's tenure, would that mean that it's Mourinho that's wrong?

[–]TrebolationsJose Mourinho 0

I'll have to say yes because with 2 years he'd have been given ample time to make whatever changes he wants to make. 6 games is no where near enough for it to be his fault.

Are you seriously suggesting that the length of time before a player, any player unconfirmed, leaks his dissatisfaction the press is a reliable indicator of whether it's the manager's fault that the club's had some bad results???

The trend is the same with what happened with leaks in the Moyes and LVG era, except this time it's happening super early

Yeah, and it's easy to fabricate it this early because we're in a bad spell of results and because of how Mourinho was sacked from his last two jobs.
