Say this leak is true, there's only one guy it can realistically be... let's be honest Carrick and Valencia are hardly the most outspoken players in the team and would have no reason to speak out to journalists, it's Rooney who's been getting the bad press recently and rightly so.

Rooney has NEVER been a good captain, for us or England, regardless of what some people think. He's won sweet F.A. (Apart from the cup with the same name) since Moyes handed him that ridiculous 300k+ contract and the club captaincy just over 3 years ago, and he's been on a steep decline ever since.

At least Mourinho has a good reason to bench/drop Rooney now and make him the 'scapegoat' for the past week, it could even help unite the rest of the players.
