I predict a long slow decline as useful products never materialize and competitor projects steal the hype factor away. Of course, some die hards will cling to it till the end of time a la litecoin. "Best altcoin" seems to be a strictly temporary gig.

The price and volume will eventually fall enough to attract whales looking to make a quick buck on a P&D. I don't think anyone cares enough about Litecoin to even bother with a pump nowadays.
