In the same poll last week, Clinton led Trump 48 to 44 percent.
The Democratic presidential nominee maintains her 5-point lead when third-party candidates are added in. Clinton's lead grows to 6 points when all registered voters are considered — 49 to 43 percent.
The poll was conducted online Sept. 12–18 among 14,326 adults who said they are registered to vote, including 13,320 likely voters.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.2 percentage points.
Clinton had seen a drop in national polls this week. She now has a 1.3 percent lead over Trump in an average of national polls, after leading by as many as 6 points in polling averages last month.
