To start off, we need to get off his back. He has taken enough criticism. He is our club legend! Not was, IS! Treat him with some respect.

Now, I agree he has had a few bad games, and I agree that he should take a break for 2 games. We can start Mata or Mkihi and see how it goes. I am not against that view. But is all the criticism justified? You guys are acting like a spoiled child, who is not getting to play with his toy.

Simple stats show that Rooney completed 33/40 accurate passes against Watford out of which 25 were forward. That is a 82.5% completion rate. Just FYI, Pogba's completion rate was 75%. Accepted that 82.5% should be higher, probably around 92% but is it really as bad as people are making it seem. If Rooney is the problem, Pogba and Fellaini are a much bigger problem.

Rooney didn't play in mid-week and we saw what our team became. I am not implying that we would win if he would have played, but I am just reminding you guys and girls of what happened.

Speaking about this season, in 6 games: 1 community shield and 5 premier league games, he has 1 goal and 3 assists. So he has been involved in 4 goals in 6 games. How is that being overlooked? These days, it seems like, everything good Rooney does is being forgotten as a fluke, and every wrong pass he makes is being played over and over again. The entire team was horrible in the first half of the City game, in Europe and the first half of the Watford game. Rooney was probably still one of our best players in the second half against City.

Stop making our legend the scapegoat. Yes, he has not had his best moments this season, but this criticism is invalid and should be stopped. Stop acting like Madrid fans!
