Obviously the club has been commercial for a long time, but with Ed at the helm seems like the commercial side has come to the forefront more aggressive maybe more than when Fergie was the manager. For example there is a high possibility of a clearly defined and well coordinated social media strategy for the players. The number of commercial agreements the club is getting in have grown meaning more commitments for the players for all these sponsors. Obviously revenues have grown with these partnerships but also it means one way or another they all expect some form of commitments from the club, the manager and the players.
Statements from the club also sound more geared towards investors and partners, more than football fans.
Is this having an effect on direction of football or the management has handled both sides in balanced way?
