It seems like we're already on a social trajectory toward a society where women staying home all day and never working just isn't acceptable. On the other hand, men paying for more and more of her stuff before getting married is increasingly acceptable. Do you think we could ever get to a society where paying for what you consume with your own money is the norm and people who expect others to pay their way- married or not- are looked down on?
