What is a prototype?
A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:

About us
We are Mana. We created a smartphone that comes with the newest hardware and a premium looking design so it will fit all your needs. Because no one else was making exactly what we wanted, we decided to do it ourselves. This is the phone we want, and we think you'll want it too. Powerfull. Clean. Pure. And, designed by users for users. Now we need you and your help. Help us to make the V1 reality now.
It's a new kind of fast
Paired with 8GB of RAM the V1 is the first phone EVER that can say it has got more than enough computing power for the next couple of years. Combined with the new Snapdragon 821 it will be a new kind of fast that has never been seen before in a smartphone.
It has almost every feature everyone is asking for
While we were designing the V1 we looked up every complaint we could possible find about existing smartphones. We took this with us into our concept and started drawing. After a few weeks we had a nice concept to start with.
The final V1 got everything you can possibly ask for such as: Notification leds, QI Charging, Good camera(s), Good battery life, premium materials and that list goes on. We like everything about it and we hope you will do too.

Why pick us, why now?
We have kept track of Android since the beginning of it's development stage. Over time we gained a lot of experience when it comes to android. We learned how to push systems to their maximum performance and make them perform like a beast.
We invested our own money and time to develop the V1 and we tried to make it a beautiful piece of engineering. (we think we succeeded in that part.)

Made out of a strong yet light Magnesium + Aluminium uni-body the V1 feels just like smartphones from other big brands. We combined the highest grade of materials available with new technologies. It’s designed to feel effortless, reducing clutter and increasing usability. The placement of everything is arranged so every port, button and sensor feels harmonious, symmetrical, and makes sense.
It is completely bloat free
Because you are the boss of your own phone, we deliver te V1 with zero bloatware. We are a big fan of "the pure Android experience". You won't find a single 3rd party app, just the essentials. Because what's on your phone should always be up to you, not up to us.
You decide with stock Android and an unlocked bootloader
The V1 will be delivered with an unlocked bootloader and open source drivers. You can load Exodus or any other ROM you want, and the V1 will still be under warranty, even if you brick it. We think what you run should be up to you, so we’ve made it as easy as possible for you to customize the V1 by putting stock Android on it. You're the boss and you make the decisions!
Mana community
We care about our users, that's why we're creating the Mana community. This will be an online (and offline) open source platform where users and enthusiasts can find answers related to their questions or where they will be able to ask questions themselves. It is energy efficient
We listened to the users. There are so many complaints about phones which don't last a full day fully charged. That's why we designed Velocity One to be ultra energy efficient. Our CEO, Michael (the guy who started it all) wouldn’t have it any other way.
The V1 manages your power based on what apps you use and it supports Quick Charge 3.0 designed by Qualcomm. The V1 doesn't drain your battery like some other phones would. And with the new and fast Snapdragon 821 with its Hexagon 680 and powerful Kryo cores designed for power and efficiency you can only be more assured to be online all day long.

The V1 brings to you the very best with its dual 16 MP OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), auto-focus rear camera. Oh, and did we mention that it's capable of taking amazing pictures? Because it does. Paired with two high quality speakers the V1 will produce amazing sound. We did this because we know how often you want to let someone hear something on your phone but it just doesn't sound as good as it should. Whether you are listening to your favorite songs and/or watching movies and playing games the sound from the V1 is meant to impress. So grab your popcorn and go watch a movie on your phone! You could get used to that couldn't you?

We are a group of people with a heart for smartphones that teamed up to build the best smartphone existing. We looked at all the phones on the market and felt they didn't have what we really wanted. We set off on a journey to live by the motto of "Break the barriers" and design the future of mobile technologies.
Mike Bonenkamp - is the founder and Co-owner of Mana Velocity Co. Ltd, probably one of the youngest entrepreneurs you know and a guy who looks forward to the future.

Risks and challenges
We have been working for the past few years to develop the V1. We are past the starting stages and are moving into manufacturing and distribution.
Along with building a good smartphone comes challenges and obstacles. Over the past year we have learned a lot from some of our mistakes and brought on world class partners in manufacturing, supply chain management, logistical distribution, and project management. We have mitigated against any future delays by securing timelines with our vendor partners and working closely with our advisors to overcome challenges as quickly as they come at us.
While we undoubtedly will face more surprises and challenges on our journey, the Mana team is prepared to tackle them! Our goal is to make the highest quality smartphone possible and get it in your hands!
