Hello Hello Hello!

A few days ago /u/igneousdagze posted a thread about doing something nice for Phi Phi to cheer her up and I commented about us making a video for her, which a lot of people thought was a good idea and wanted to join in on.

So after some discussions we decided to do it!

We know that not everyone is on the same page when it comes to Phi Phi’s reaction to the edit and how she is handling the situation and that’s fine. However some people are more sensitive than others and have different ways of coping with hateful comments and unexpected situations. The fact is that Jaremi is genuinely upset by what is going on and we want to do something to show him that we support him and Phi Phi.

So to that end, here are the mini “rules” and the “how to” of this Phi Phi Project of Love.

• Film yourself (in good lighting please!) saying something you like about Phi Phi/Jaremi. It could be a fun memory from a M&G, a favourite 365 days look, best challenge, favourite song, what made you a fan – anything like that. Or just tell her you love her, it’s up to you!
• If you aren’t comfortable with showing your face in a video then feel free to do a voice recording. Please attach a photo (or few) to go along with it, either of yourself, you and Phi Phi during a M&G, or just some favourite picture(s) of Phi Phi. High quality please!
• Please keep it to 15-20ish seconds tops, we want it to be to the point and consistent, also it will be super long if a lot of people contribute. If you have written a Phi Phi song then exceptions may be made ;P
• If you’d like your Reddit username OR real name (first only!) on it then add it to the written message and it will show up as your part of the video is playing.
• It would be nice to see how international the love is so add your country to the message if you’re comfortable with that. Nothing more detailed. Once again, it will be added to the screen as the video is playing.
• This is meant as an uplifting and positive thing so “see a therapist” or “log off” are simply not what we’re going for.
• Once you’ve recorded your message, comment below and we will private message you how to send it to us. You will probably need access to computer for this part and to transfer the file to it.

We’d like to get this done as soon as possible and have the video ready by, ideally, Friday so please get these in ASAP. I will basically start putting it all together as soon as the first file hits my inbox. Anything sent after 6pm UTC on Wednesday won’t necessarily make it in. The earlier the better for my sanity though :)

Disclaimer: I cannot edit things the way the UNHhhh gurus can so it will literally be the videos jammed together into one bigger continuous file. Possibly with funky transitions. Maybe some background music too. You've been warned: lower thy expectations! :)
