This is so sad. One of the best book series I've ever read, not to mention the funniest. Just thinking about them is making me laugh! My best friend and I were obsessed with them, we made our own version of the Snog Scale and everything. Louise was a brilliant author, and she will truly be missed :(

WHAT :( :( I really hope it's not Rosemont. House of Blues would be cool but there's no way it's big enough.

The most satisfying thing for me was the first time I met with my exchange student language partner. I was under the impression that I only knew basic vocabulary and grammar, and therefore would crash and burn during a casual conversation. Turns out I was able to talk with her for over an hour without any major lulls in conversation due to the language barrier. I never thought it would be possible!

[–]thisisthelast 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

Anything by Ron Currie Jr. Highly recommend God is Dead by him. It's a collection of short stories set in chronological order centered around the idea of God coming to earth and getting killed, and what happens to the human race after the fact. It's engaging, thought-provoking, and surprisingly hilarious.

YES this movie is so good. Not to be that person but if you liked it I highly recommend the book.

First off, you look great! Congratulations!!! Yes, the negative feelings that come with weight loss really suck. In my case, it got to the point where even compliments from people stressed me out because it made me feel like I had to prove myself even more, you know? One thing that really helped me with those intrusive thoughts was meditating. If I was having a particularly hard day and feeling sad and upset with myself I would take a few minutes and just sit in the dark thinking about how far I had come. Ask yourself questions such as, "do I feel healthier now compared to last year?" "Am I proud of myself for what I've done? And if not, why?" and think long and hard about it. It helps to get rid of all other outside factors (compliments or comments people give you, other bodies to compare yours too, etc) and focus on nothing but yourself. Honestly, and I think a lot of people will agree with me on this, the mental and emotional part of weight loss was harder than the actual diet change and exercise. Just try to remember how far you've come. Good luck with everything!
