If it's possible to do a physical to virtual of it, you should definitely do so. Many times old apps get tied to a particular machine, and there's no way to reinstall it if needed. If you have a VM of it, your options to move it around and not be tied to aging hardware come in handy. This may not be the case for your particular app though.

Sort of as a side note to custom apps that you can no longer get support for - Virtualize that shit immediately and start backing it up!

Shaking a window to minimize everything behind it.

Grab a window by it's title bar as if you're about to drag it somewhere, but quickly shake it back and forth with your mouse. All of your other windows will minimize, leaving you at the desktop with just the window you shook.
