The person I was talking to was one such person. They were clearly ignorant and they thought that they were on a level playing field, a battlefield of "debate". But that attitude is a bad one. Acting as if you're an intellectual gladiator when it comes to a field your know barely anything about should be discouraged. I can't even begin to fathom how you might disagree with this.
