It's very obvious that despite individual talent we haven't been able to get the best out of our squad and I think a lot of that comes down to a formation that doesn't support individuals. I would love to see us mimic what juve did for pogba in a 4-4-2 diamond with 4 central midfielders. I think allowing our backs to roam up and down the flanks with perhaps blind as a cdm behind herrera and pogba would gibe us a more fluid system. (allows blind to drop into a back three while we attack and also gives pogba and herrera the freedom to run the midfield) Combining this with rashford and ibra up top we would have the hold up play and a presence in behind the opposition.
This would also allow us more tactical options to change the game as a plethora of formations are available by just making a single sub.
Honestly, I really just want to have some idea of what we are trying to do, throughout the game it appears as though players are just changing roles and thus leaving wide open spaces (like the one for watfords second goal) behind them. I'd love to hear peoples opinions on the suggested changes!
