It's possible to become really good really fast. Just look at City. Maybe that's why this crisis is so tough to swallow.

Yh exactly it's not like the hype wasn't justified at all It was

Indeed it was. The stars seemed to be aligned. Mourinho, Pogba, Mkhitaryan, how could it not be hyped?

I was expecting it to be a slow start. New players were coming in and I thought it would take time for them to gel. (I was hyped during the Pogba saga though.)

Then we went on to win the first three games of the season and I got too hyped. I blame those first three game for getting my hopes up. Not so much the signings.

Signings of Mou, then Zlatan, Miki, Pogba. It was hype overload for me

You would think we would learn from previous seasons. LVG signings were good on paper and look how that turned out. Oh well. Football is mental.

I actually think that we are really good. I think the problem is that we are building the team around some players (including Pogba) and in the end result we are losing the team. Remember in the times of Ruud Van, at that time it seems that every player was for the team and not the team for the players. Granted that each player had their position starting off, they were willing to change to accomodate to a new formation but Fergie wasnt building the formation to accomodate the players.
