My concern isn't the losses themselves. Every team will drop points over the season.

My concern is the response by the players to the losses. After the City Derby, the rotated players should have been raring to go against Feyenoord but there seemed to be little passion.

After two losses in a row, the team should be doubly ready to put that right today against Watford but the players displayed more passion and drive in talking back to the officials than they did during the game itself.

Whilst the results are concerning they can be explained away, it's in the manner in which we lost that worries me.

You're right, we haven't responded properly, but I consider losing in the Europa League and Premier League two different things because they are two different competitions. Losing in the EL doesn't mean we dropped 9 points this week in the league, it means we lost 6 points and an EL game.

If we lose our next PL game then I would be concerned, but at the moment we've lost 2 games in the league, one against the pacesetters and the other in a difficult away fixture.

Like I said, hopefully Mourinho quickly sorts the squad out and I think we should be fine.

there is no shame in losing to them

Why is that? Pep is new to England and already got them firing all engines despite people saying he'll take time to adapt - look how we're playing in the same amount of time. Why is there no shame? Didn't both Pep and Jose have a huge budget to get whomever and plenty of time, all conditions in order to get going?

I meant no shame in the sense that they are our main competitors. There is shame in the rivalry sense and a overall competitive sense, but losing to a very good team is not the most unbearable thing to happen unless we were absolutely smashed, which we weren't.

But it's the fourth season of pathethic football in the row. It's hard to stay calm after a loss.

I think we're all forgetting the shit Mourinho has to repair. He didn't inherit a team glowing on confidence. He inherited a team that needs major rework. Yes, he's bought in some really good players, but just because he's bought those players doesn't mean the rest of the squad will suddenly turn up.

Those other players need to get away from the LvG mindset which isn't easy to do in 5 league games after two years of utter shite.

It's easy to point to Guardiola and how easily he's got City playing, but City weren't a team in need of a major overhaul, I think they would've comfortably finished in the top 3 last season if Guardiola hadn't been announced as their next manager.

From one point of view, it's better to have a bad patch early in the season, where nothing's really at stake and there's still time for adjustments. On the other side, it's not only the losses that concern most of the fans. It's the attitude of the players, and the style of play. There's no cohesion, no desire, absolutely no attitude. They just go out there and seem lost - it almost looks like me at my first work - just to turn up, fill in the hours, get the check, go home, don't give a shit. Look at Rooney here it's a disgrace that the captain is jogging towards our own box when the opposition is getting the fucking ball in. Jose needs to sort this shit out, because, looking at our schedule, we may be looking at 6 consecutive league defeats. That would be a fucking disaster, essentially killing off our campaign in October.
