Is there such thing as a happy marriage?

personally, i think humans are not monogamous by nature. Therefore LTR and marriages will almost always turn south after the honeymoon phase is over. Staying married for a lifetime is like working the same 9 to 5 job for a life time. It sucks!

The only reason men get married is because of religion, culture, and/or social pressures.

The old school "Hollywood Marriage" was the canary in the coal mine, as that was the first time women (actresses) had the means to live on their own, so they went with whatever men they pleased. So society made it so women can live on the dole, and now women are bed hopping like crazy because they don't need to pretend to love a man just to get their next meal.

Yeah, there is. My wife and I were very happy in our marriage. Last week she came to me and said that in order to keep being happy she had to leave. So now she's happily filling out divorce paperwork while I happily browse MGTOW websites and wait to be served.

Edit: I knew marriage was a raw deal going in and I'm not too cool with the state being involved in my personal life anyway, but through some combination of not being true to myself and being life-scripted into it I did what twenty-something couples do and got married. Always, always, always be true to yourself. Don't care what society thinks. Society is a flock of sheep, most of whom will die poor, just like the sheep before them. Forge your own path.

Men are capable of happy marriages. At least those who want a simple life and whose main focus is having healthy successful children.

Women are not. It is not in their nature to be content with a simple existence and they typically see children differently than men. They see them more as commodities and investments to get a return on later in life as opposed to a continuation of legacy. They are incapable of properly raising children. Women are only useful in child rearing up to the age of 4-5. Even at these ages men do much better jobs. Nowadays all the power goes to the woman as soon as the marriage is official. The dynamic necessary for happy marriages is not there in the West.

Some of the 'happiest' (read most successful, least amount of BS) marriages are in the most traditional regions of the planet. The arranged marriages of south asia/india produce some of the healthiest relationships, but only when the parents and respective families are heavily involved. Female nature needs to be tempered through social rules.

It's possible, but my theory is that it depends entirely on how the woman was raised.

Women with strict fathers whom they have a lot of respect for, tend to be able to handle marriage.

Needless to say, with how feminized modern men are, it's MUCH harder to find a woman like that.

I dont really know. Ive never seen one. Happy for the chick I suppose. But it always seems like husbands are washed up, beaten down guys who age twice as fast.

No... lol are you fucking kidding me? Half of all marriages end in divorce instigated by women 80% of the time... of the remaining 50% the majority are prisons of quiet desperation.

Even if we are generous and say that only half of the remaining marriages are unhappy, then you stand a 75% chance of either divorce rape, or years of misery... and that's a generous best-case scenario.
