He never won a place in the team under LVG, and it seems Mou doesn't rate him too.

well, tbf at the time it did seem like he could be our solution to Carrick getting older. hindsight. edit: lol are you downvoting everyone who's opinion isn't yours? why start a discussion?

Feel like Basti was bought as the starter and that Morgan was our 2nd choice/back up. Of course we ended up playing Carrick and then later Carrick/Fellaini and Rooney so idk.

He was one of the better players in a rather impressive Southampton squad, solid dm. That's why we bought him.
