My ex wife has been living in her current house for the last 4 years and the whole time she has wanted to renovate the basement, the bathroom, kitchen, build a fence and do some 'nice' landscaping. Well, I mean wanted to have those things done, not do them (of course).

For almost 4 years there was no movement in that direction. Well, she's moved in her boyfriend and guess who has been spending his weekends making her domestic dreams come true? That's right, he's building, painting, scraping, mudding, setting, digging, postholing, dragging, lifting, etc. You name it, he's doing it all the while she posts pics of him at work on facebook captioned with things like "I have the best boyfriend ever!"

It's amazing how this wasn't obvious as hell in the past. It's literally the life of a workhorse and the praise is the carrot (well of course that and the ever declining sex).

So this dude works all week and now he's working all weekend all to make this woman's status fueled dreams come true; meanwhile she sits and brags to her friends on facebook about what a good workhorse she found.

Meanwhile I'm over here spending my days off doing exactly what I feel like doing and not a thing else. Poor guy, wish I could save him but he's following the life script. Someone needs to tell him how this works though; I was married to the chick. She'll be satisfied for a few weeks and then she'll get restless and moody again.
