Also, if you are voting third party, you are still voting strategically. You are just looking at the next election, knowing that this one is a lost cause. If all you are trying to accomplish is to break up the total dominance of the two current parties, then it does not really matter if you agree with the person from the third party. The important thing is that they are a third party, and if they get a big enough promotion of votes this election, they have a better shot of being taken seriously in the next one.
