Over the past couple of months we saw a huge influx of subscribers likely due to the transfer sagas and Mourinho. As a result I though the quality of the sub as a whole sagged a bit as any subreddit on this website does when the subreddit gets bigger.
As Terry Pratchet put it: 'The intelligence of that creature known as a crowd is the square root of the number of people in it.'
But over the last week -particularly this past couple of days surrounding the disappointing Feyenoord game- it's been very surprisingly mature with good discussion and content.
The post match thread was one of the most pleasant post match threads for a loss that I can remember in a long time. Not to mention the inevitable self posting the next day was very level headed and had some decent discussions (that I saw at least). It's been a far less reactionary few days than we've seen over the past couple of years and users over at r/soccer even mentioned in their post thread that there was next to no meltdown over here over what was a big upset yesterday.
I hope this keeps up. I've rambled a bit but TL'DR this sub is awesome.
