How did is it that this show has a consistent theme throughout the years with a few remixes every iteration, yet shows like Mazinger Z get a different song with every incarnation?

It's just an opening with flashy elements. Honestly that's nothing special. Besides I have a GF whom I love very much so why get horny off of something especially an animation? Sorry but to me it makes no sense. That's just me.

There is a Hetalia version of this. However, people tend to start bitching about the parody version opening/ending of any anime (the original) and they get pissed off over something that's suppose to be entertaining for the fans. But.. that's Youtube for you.

uno de los trabajos de Nagai sensei, muy buena la serie y con buen contenido fan service para aquellos que disfrutan viendo a lindas chicas (en la que me incluyo) el padre de las situaciones ecchi en el anime manga, un clasico no dejen de verlo

Thank you for uploading this video but please do not diss Hetalia on a video that has nothing to do with it. Not only is that pointless but if any fangirls/fanboys who are devoted to that series (like myself, but I am sane and do not say lul its better than historiz classu, because I enjoy the series for its historical allegories and SATIRE, not the sexy men though they are a plus at times) heard you say this, they'd diss an anime you like such as this one. The Cutie Honey series is always incredibly weird. She begins fighting these useless henchmen, then actual monsters...And Sister Jill, who is literally the antichrist.
What I'm saying is, shit gets REAL.

特に夏子ちゃん好き（？）にはたまらないです。
原作が、かの永井豪さんなので「鬱あるの？グロイんじゃないの？なっちゃん死んでまうん？」と
心配なさる人も多いと思いますが、今作は気持ちいいアクションと面白いオリジナル設定（OLや警察など）で、自分としてはキューティーハニーシリーズで１位、２位を争う程好きです！
OVAですので気軽に観れるのも良いですよ。

This show is really weird - It goes from a light-hearted science fiction series (Sort of a pervier Kamen Rider) to something approaching cosmic horror.
Then again, it's par for the course: Devilman goes from being a superhero to the unwitting harbringer of the end of all things.

Cutey Honey is a magical girl, but it's shounen, The first shounen to have a female lead if I'm not wrong. But it had the basic formula: girl transforms to fight evil. I don't really think that Sailor Moon had anything original. Mahou shoujo's there since 1966, and we already had them fight evil in 70s. The only new thing in Sailor Moon is probably a squad based team.

It is magical girl but not necessarily shoujoh especially this gainax version, Cutie Honey flash was shoujo and took inspiration from sailor moon.

It's not a hentai, it's just one of the many remakes of a shojo anime that features a LOT of fanservice (though Cutie Honey Flash is a more toned down shojo version). There are about 5 different versions of the Cutie/Cutey Honey series I believe. One of them is a live action show that adds two team members.

good animated series are p.e. Utena, Princess Tutu, Maison Ikkoku and so on. The cameo to old style is just an excuse to save some money I guess!!

It was from 89' and the oldest is in black&white and from 63, but i think is more like SM. Also, the idea is in general very old

So what brought this out of the archives? The live actor version of Cutie Honey was a hoot too. I think they kind of made it for the fans who where now 15 years older for it had some hot R rated stuff in it. (At least by western standards) Nice to see it again after all this time.

Oh, interseting story. I can sing the lyrics to this and other japanese anime songs from a certain period. My brother who actually studies japanese seems to be annoyed by this. But its really not my fault! Ive been in choirs my whole life, often singing in otehr languages. I have NO IDEA what im saying when I do it.
There are medical conditions where you can lose your ability to talk...but you can still sing. Thats a thinker, huh? But yeah thats the mechanism that lets me do that. :)
