What does everyone think about Schneiderlin's performance today?

I think he did well defensively but his lack of quality on the ball is painfully apparent. Just don't see the benefit of him starting at the base of midfield over Carrick, or even Herrera.

People honestly need to calm down on this sub. I more than anyone wanted to see this formation and tactic play out (433). It is clear he was willing , and did, take a risk. Especially after the derby. We went for a different approach, to try something new and give people who don't normally play in thea league, an opp to play. Couple that with a new formation we haven't done yet in competition and new combinations of players who aren't used to each other and it's bound to be shaky. We are 5 games into the season. Take a deep breath ffs. Better than some bs excuse of a process that takes 3 months, no 6 no 9 no 2 years.

No one is giving Feyenoord any credit for how they played defensively. Their goal was the only thing they put together all game and it was offsides to begin with. Did we struggle to break them down? yes, sure. Did we light it up? No. But was this the worst game we've ever seen? Not in the slightest. Take a deep breath. We have a league game (which is much more important) and I'm sure we'll see it being sorted out.

We've been absolutely shite in every first half all season? How has nobody noticed this? We couldn't break down Bournemouth and got a lucky Mata goal, couldn't break down Southampton and gave away so many chances, couldn't break down hull (although that one was down to them), got raped by City and then you have tonight.

Then with second halves we dominated Bournemouth, Southampton and Hull, Did great against City and then tonight were still shite.

We've lost these last two games and won the first three. Our first half performances didn't cost us in those games.

No, but it does show how far away we are. In the big games it does cost us and we need to be dominating for 90 minutes like City are if we want to win the premier league, this isn't a fairytale and it isn't 99. We aren't winning every match in the last 5 minutes we need to dominate for 90.

Yea, I think we need to be going out at the start and grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck. I think we've been a bit too relaxed even though we got good results. The intensity isn't there yet.

I don't think he meant we set out to play that way. More an observation imo.

Our biggest issue was in controlling the temple of the game. Daley Blind calms down the game with possession.

You saw Mourinho shouting "Calm, Calm, Calm" because everyone was getting rid of the ball so quick resulting in shoddy passes and bad possession. Carrick can do it too, and Schweinsteiger in his prime was also great at it.
