About this project
The Booty Bumper is a 9 year in the making original design that takes a fresh spin on the Hula Girl and Bobble Head. Artist designed and sculpted, this 5.5" tall figure has a designer toy aesthetic, action figure quality production, and engineered spring action posterior ready to bump down your city streets or spice up any toy collection.
There are currently two design prototypes ready for production and the option for many more.

Creating the Prototype:
The following is a brief overview of the creative process. We will continue to share more on the creative process and the artist behind it throughout this campaign.
The Booty Bumper was sculpted by hand out of Toy Makers Wax.
We then created molds and the resin copy for tooling.
The metal molds were then made for production and samples were created. We fined tuned the samples until they hit our standards for quality!
Packaging has been designed and each piece will come complete with a blister pack and full color box.
The Artist Behind the Toy:
The Booty Bumper was designed, illustrated, and sculpted by Phil Ramirez. You may have played with some of the toys Phil has made in his over 26 years of experience. He has sculpted action figures and statues for the most popular licenses, such as Disney, Marvel, DC, LOTR, Star Wars, and many many more. This is his first foray into producing his very own mass production figure.
Phil created the Booty Bumper in multiple parts, broken down into head, body, arms, and legs, so that individual pieces could be modified to create new characters and incorporate other artists designs. This figure can facilitate many design possibilities.
WHATS NEXT?:
Now that the prototype has been created, molds have been made, samples fine-tuned, and packaging has been designed, we are ready to get these pieces into production. We need to receive a minimum number of orders to fulfill the production run.
With Your pledges we will fulfill the minimum to get these figures into production and allow for new designs and collaborations with other artists! You will also be supporting Phil's new toy line that will hopefully expand into other new and exciting products.

Risks and challenges
The biggest obstacle with this project is maintaining a high quality product at affordable pricing. We need to hit production minimums in order to keep the per piece costs low and maintain a product that is highly accessible.
We've already worked through any engineering kinks to fine tune the figure's jointing, color and paint quality, and spring action posterior. We now need to meet the order minimums to fulfill production.
We are also almost finished with the patent process.
