Why do people love them so much? Especially the old ones?

They're less efficient than basically all non Trucks/SUVs, they're slower and faaaar less maneuverable than sports cars, and they're way more expensive than cheap cars.

What is the point?

I prefer Japanese performance cars. Evo, STi, Civic Sis, etc.They're way faster than muscle cars and cheaper too. I'll be getting a Civic Type R after I graduate.
