What future do you think he has under Mourinho? Backup LB? Backup LW behind Martial, Memphis and Rashford (to a certain extent?)

I personally would love to see him when we need more defensive cover on that Left Wing spot (when we're up 2-1 or something) but what do you think?

I think at this point it's backup fullback, we have 3 young and talented players who play LW and will benefit more from playtime than young

Maybe this season, but next season Borthwick should be our backup for LB and we will most likely pursue a young prospect for RB if we sell Darmian.

He played on the wings during our friendies, I think back up left or right wing will be his role

But as someone else said, we have like 3 or 4 options on each wing now.

Next to Blind, Young is our most versatile player. His ability to play either wing and LB position makes him very useful to Mourinho especially given his crossing abilities. I think his future is at LW/LB back up depending on the opponents we need to play. Of all our LW options, he's the only one that can actually put in proper crosses. The others are more suited for dribbling inside or using the overlap. Young can actually send crosses in and given the height we now have in the squad, he'll be useful for that in certain games.
