Ross Schneiderman is a senior editor at Newsweek. Previously he’s written for The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Foreign Affairs and ESPN the Magazine, among other publications. He was also the editor of The Lost Khrushchev: A Journey Into the Gulag of the Russian Mind. In May 2016, he, Ed Darack and Sami Yousafzai wrote a cover story about Mohammad Gulab, the Afghan villager who saved former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell. The story delves into the Taliban’s attempts to kill Gulab, his tragic falling out with Luttrell and his struggle to seek refuge in the United States.
Ross will be here to talk about Mohammed Gulab, including the troubles he faced in Afghanistan, his relationship with Luttrell, how Gulab came to the U.S. and what difficulties he's faced in the current political environment. This is his major story on it.
The AMA will take place at 10:00AM EST tomorrow. Be ready to ask questions concerning immigration, the Gulab story, or our general political environment to these guests.
