Quarantine is nothing but a ban (self.subredditcancer)

Since /r/european was quarantined we the moderators have been reaching out to them asking what the reasoning was for the sub to be quarantined. Time and time again we've reached out to the administration asking what we can do, to be "unquarantined" but we've received no communication back. It's been a month since we reached out to them the last time about this and not a single word has come back from the admins: https://i.sli.mg/kGuBYX.png

As we could not get an answer regarding this we decided to look at reddit site wide rules. Nowhere is it stipulated that a subreddit cannot re-emerge and start from fresh. And when the quarantine was introduced it was said not to be a ban, hence rebooting a subreddit cannot be seen as ban evasion. All of us knew from the start that this was bullshit from the admins but no one really put it to the test, at least not to our knowledge. We therefore decided to do that and rebooted /r/european as /r/evropean. The subreddit quickly caught the attention of the reddit SJW crowd and was banned last night.

At what point will admins crawl out from under their rock and quit the bullshit?

An other important question needs to be addressed by them. If their policy is not driven by a political agenda, how come sub such as /r/watchpeopledie and /r/pedofriends etc. are allowed to exist as they undoubtedly fall under the definition given by admins regarding what subs will be quarantined:

We will Quarantine communities whose content would be considered extremely offensive to the average redditor.

Maybe the admins live in a parallel universe where child molestation is a lesser crime than criticising islam and mass immigration. Nonetheless we've finally got them to answer through their actions as they refused to communicate with us.

Are those screenshots in the post the only interaction from the admins?

A quarantine might effectively kill a community, but at least it's possible to still access all the content.

When a subreddit gets banned people can just make up whatever they want and there's very little way to check things for oneself.

As much as I dislike the subs getting quarantined, a quarantine is a ban in everything but name. The intention is to cripple a sub, not to distance Reddit's administration from it. There is absolutely no reason to disable CSS features, require verified accounts or remove traffic tracking aside from to try to kill the community. It's very obviously intended as a ban.

About their stand on quarantined subs being rebooted? There's some more, we had many people contact them about this. But the result is the same. Complete radio silence.

Same with the lifting of the quarantine. I can ask the others who reached out to post their screens here.

Mod of /r/pedofriends here, just wanted to comment on the claim that our subreddit is extremely offensive.

The only thing the average reddior would find extremely offensive about our subreddit is their wrong assumption of what it is. It is a subreddit for support and discussion, aimed at people with depression or who don't understand why certain things hurt children. The only ones who find our subreddit offensive are people who didn't bother to check a single upvoted thread.

It is a hugbox in the sense that people tell each other they shouldn't commit suicide or live in a depression because they have feelings they didn't choose to have.

The safespace thing simply doesn't apply, you are free to go in and create a thread voicing your concerns, so long as it isn't offensive.
